USING LIQUID CRYSTALS IN HEAT TRANSFER APPLICATIONS
Keywords:
Liquid Cyrstal, Film Cooling, Film Cooling EffectivenessAbstract
This paper deals with the application areas of liquid crystals, their functional principles and the utilization of the liquid crystal technique in heat transfer applications. The temperature and the characteristics of heat transfer are determined by using liquid crystals. In this study, the temperature region for film cooling, which is a method of gas turbine blade and vane cooling, was developed by using liquid crystals as an application and the film cooling effectiveness was calculated.
